Blenheim, Marlborough, New Zealand

I had a number one buzz cut to complete my toothless hobo look but then managed to find a dentist to carry out root canal treatment and a temporary crown fix.

We had the good fortune of staying at the Marlborough Vintners Hotel, a wonderful unit with patio in the heart of a vineyard.  The fresh food was great with vegetables grown from their cottage garden.   Lizzie ate the best ever Bolognese sauce that we will attempt when we get back to the UK.

We enjoyed visits to Peter Yealands Vineyard

And a very tasty lunch at Rockferry where I was intrigued by blue cheese and comb Manuka honey.

  1. Gorgeous contrast of sky, hills, and vinyard with road winding through in the one MVH pic.. Glad you found a lasting fix for your tooth. I know the hobo look, as I played clarinet in the Pitman(NJ) Hobo Band while a buzz-cut teen back in the day. We marched in the famous/infamous New Years Mummers’ Parade in Philadelphia. “Drink and the Devil’s Done for the Rest!”
